  • Be ready to fail

We tend to think that the people that we admire don’t have to deal with disappointment, but most often than not they do. They take to account that embarrassment is a possibility.

They know that in the worst case scenario failure will happen but that doesn’t stop them.

Failure it’s just a fact not a wall. It’s something that will happen even when we try very hard not to.

We have to be prepared to fail, because bouncing back will drain everything that is left.

Having a back up plan will give us the confidence to fail gracefully, being that trying again it’s also a part of the plan.

Be always ready to fail, and success will hit like a breeze.

Let all of your failures layer up into a beautiful wisdom “mille feuilles”, keeping you grounded for when you succeed. It will surely make you more cautious, thoughtful and appreciative.

“A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions.
The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.”

And let’s never be afraid to start over, as a matter of fact, be willing to start over and over again. That’s a super power, being relentless, and never afraid of what it will look like.

  • Stay comfortable with discomfort

I think that one of the most important features of an adult is being able to be comfortable amidst discomfort.

When you have this mastered you don’t get bothered easily, everything is a challenge, even when you get upset with something, you are always able to see through the situation and get your feelings out of it.

When you find comfort within the uncomfortable, you don’t allow your feelings to dictate the narrative, making you a victim of the circumstances, instead you change the outcome in your favour, making it a lesson never to be forgotten.

Working out can give you your daily dose of “comfort in the discomfort”. Mastering the pain of an exercise, doing that last rep that you thought it was impossible at that point, breathing after almost losing your breath, makes you “invincible”.

Knowing what you need to control the outcome, leaves you completely stress free.

Knowing that you have what its needed to control the outcome makes you fearless.

  • Do you reflect your priorities?

Are you the reflex of your priorities? Can I see them when I look at you? Do you reflect about your priorities? Are you sure that they alined with “the person that you want to be” in the next few years?

I know that this is a very tricky question, because its not everyday that we really think about the future like a compounder of the present, we tend to act like “in the future” we will change if necessary and will adjust our behaviour according to the circumstances that we have at the time, but what we don’t realise is that the future is tomorrow, its the next five minutes, the next second, but we keep treating it like a far away thing, when its really our next move.

That is why I think that our actions, all of them, need to be aligned with what we want to be, like we are predicting our future trough our current actions.

Of course we can’t control everything, but what we are able to control? Are we taking the control of it?
